About The Late Edition
An independent London listings paper: what is on tonight, this weekend and this week, compiled from the venues' own sources and corrected when things change.
The Late Edition is a London listings publication. It covers what is on tonight, this weekend and over the next seven days, and it is written to be read by someone deciding what to do with an evening rather than by a search engine.
Listings are compiled from venues’ own programmes, box office pages and official announcements, and checked against the venue’s own page before they go up. They are corrected when details change and taken down when a thing has finished. If a page here is out of date, that is a failure rather than a quirk.
Where a date follows an event’s usual annual pattern rather than an announcement, the listing says so on its face and does not pretend to a certainty it does not have. You will see a “date not confirmed” note on those, and it comes off the day the organiser publishes the real one.
We are not a ticket agent and we do not sell listings or take payment for inclusion. Links go to the venue’s own page, never to a reseller, and every outbound link on the site is re-checked each quarter so that dead ones are found before a reader finds them.
The front page is rewritten through the week, the weekend edition on a Thursday and the week edition on a Monday.
Who writes it
Angela
Angela edits The Late Edition and is responsible for the accuracy of everything on it. Corrections come to her: if a date is wrong, an event has finished, or a link no longer works, that is hers to put right.
How it is paid for
Listings are never paid for. If a venue or promoter ever pays for placement it is labelled as advertising on the page it appears on, and it never changes what goes into the editions.
