Which tube lines run all night in London?
Five, on Friday and Saturday nights only: the Victoria, Jubilee, Central, Northern and Piccadilly. Everything else stops around half past midnight, and night buses cover the rest of the city every night of the week.
What runs, and when
The Night Tube runs on Friday and Saturday nights only, on the Victoria, Jubilee, Central, Northern and Piccadilly lines. Not every branch of every line is included, which is the part that catches people out: check the branch, not just the line.
The rest of the week
Night buses run every night, all night, and go a great deal further than five tube lines do. For most of London on most nights they are the answer rather than the fallback.
What it costs
Off-peak pay as you go fares apply overnight and count towards the same daily cap, so a night journey costs no more than an off-peak daytime one.
