Harmondsworth London: what's on and things to do

Harmondsworth is a village that ended up beside Heathrow, and the reason to come is five centuries older than the airport. The Great Barn is a medieval timber barn that John Betjeman called the Cathedral of Middlesex, still standing on its original oak a few hundred yards from the runway. It opens rarely, which is why it appears here when it does, and why there is often nothing else listed.
