What to expect

An hour of the kanklės, the Lithuanian plucked zither used for storytelling and ritual long before it reached a concert programme, played by Emilija Karaliute with the guitarist Alexander Kyd.

The programme mixes solo pieces, duos, improvisation and some classical repertoire, which is the point: the instrument is rarely heard here at all, and almost never outside its folk setting.

Nearby

Bloomsbury has the nearest stations and everything else on in the same part of town. The Holy Cross Church page collects every listing we hold for that address. Filed under Gigs.
