What to expect
Shoreditch on Halloween is less an event than a condition: every bar on the strip runs something, the queues form by nine, and the streets between Old Street and Brick Lane fill with people in costume moving between them.
Worth knowing
Most venues charge on the door on the night even when they are free the rest of the year, and several switch to advance tickets only. Decide where you are going before you arrive; wandering and hoping is how people spend the night in queues.
Getting there
Old Street, Shoreditch High Street and Liverpool Street are all walkable from the middle of it. The Night Tube runs on the Central and Northern lines if the 31st falls on a Friday or Saturday. The Shoreditch page has the rest of what is on nearby.
