How do you get cheap London Film Festival tickets?
Anyone aged 16 to 25 pays six pounds a ticket with a free 25 and Under account, which is the cheapest way into a gala in London all year. General sale opens on 17 September at ten in the morning, and a second batch of tickets is released on 1 October at ten.
Six pounds if you are 16 to 25
Sign up for a free 25 and Under account with the BFI and every festival ticket is six pounds, galas included. It is the single biggest saving in the London film calendar and it is not well known.
The dates that decide everything
Patrons booked on 9 September and members on the 10th, so by the time general sale opens on 17 September at ten the popular screenings are already thin. A second batch goes out on 1 October at ten, which is the forgotten one and often the better chance.
The festival itself
The 70th edition runs 7 to 18 October across BFI Southbank and venues around London and the UK. Elsinore opens it on the 7th and The Debut closes it on the 18th.
