City Comedy Club: the late show, 10pm

The late one, and an hour straight through with no interval, which is the format that suits a basement room under Trapeze Bar after ten at night. Tickets from £9.60.

Worth knowing

Doors half an hour before the show. Over 18s and photo ID is checked at the door. Seating is allocated, so you are shown to a seat rather than fighting for one. There is a dress code, no sportswear or work clothes, and groups are capped at ten with no stag or hen parties.

Getting there
