What to expect
Yifei and Ming live a meticulously ordered life in a beachfront flat in Qingdao, watching their neighbour’s chickens wage a brutal feud from behind a spotless window. Ming, a school teacher, ignores it, while Yifei, a bank clerk, sees a market as free-range eggs start arriving at their door, until the chickens get into the flat itself. It is billed as a biting absurdist comedy about people who treat tragedy as opportunity.
Worth knowing
Over 18s only; runs one hour. The show contains references to abuse, animal cruelty and death, strong language, fake blood, sudden noise and unsettling sound.
