Ronnie Scott’s: Late Late Show with Future Movers

Future Movers are an ever-evolving ensemble of breakthrough British jazz players, led by the saxophonist Phil Meadows, who acts as musical director and changes the line-up every month. The music leans on hip hop, Afrobeat, funk and soul as much as on jazz.

This is the main club downstairs. The Late Late Show is a separate ticket from the evening show and a different room to be in: a DJ plays before and after the band, and the crowd is a mix of people who have been there all night and people who have just arrived. Doors 23:15, music from around midnight to two, doors close at three.

The club is on Frith Street between Old Compton Street and Soho Square. Nothing else on the street is still serving at three, which is part of why the room fills up.
