Guides Silent disco 2026 Any time Updated 7 Sep 2026
These start at 10pm and are over 18s. Dates below are the ones each venue had published in September 2026, and they sell out well ahead.
Silent disco in London: the late ones, in buildings you cannot normally be in at that hour
Doors at ten, over 18s, three channels on the headphones. The dates and prices the big venues have published.

A silent disco is not a novelty afternoon thing in London. The ones worth going to start at ten at night, run to one in the morning, are strictly over 18s, and take place in rooms that are closed to the public at that hour. That is the entire appeal: the headphones are the excuse, the building is the reason.
What has been published
| Where | Price | Doors | Ends | Age |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Shard | from £37.50 | 22.00 | 01.00 | 18 and over |
| Natural History Museum | check the museum | 22.00 | entry closes 23.30 | 18 and over |
As published by each venue, September 2026. The museum event is held in Hintze Hall, under the blue whale.
The Shard has four dates on sale: Saturday 26 September, Saturday 24 October, Saturday 21 November and Saturday 5 December 2026. Three DJs play three genres and you switch between them on the headphones, with the whole of London underneath you for three hours.
The Natural History Museum runs its in Hintze Hall, under the blue whale, also on three channels and also over 18s. We have not put a price on it here because the museum’s site blocks automated checks and we would be quoting somebody else’s number rather than the museum’s. Take the price off its own event page.
How the format works
Everyone wears wireless headphones with a channel switch and a light that changes colour with the channel. Three DJs play at once. You can see across a room which third of it is listening to what, and taking the headphones off in the middle of a full dance floor is the joke that never stops being funny.
Book early
These are the events that sell out first, because the capacity is set by the building rather than by demand, and the museum and the Shard can each only put so many people in a hall. A date that goes on sale two months out will not be there two weeks out.

The View from The Shard prices its from £37.50. Museum silent discos sit in a similar range, but take the exact figure from the venue's own event page rather than a listings site.

At ten at night. Both the Shard and the Natural History Museum open their doors at 22.00, and the Shard runs to 01.00.

At these venues, yes. The View from The Shard and the Natural History Museum both restrict entry to over 18s.
What is a silent disco?
Three DJs play at the same time and everyone wears wireless headphones with a channel switch, so you choose which of the three you are dancing to and the room itself is quiet.
Every listing on this page is checked against the venue's own page and the page is rewritten each year, usually six to eight weeks before the dates. Times and prices can change on the night; the venue link on each event is the one to trust. How we choose what goes in.
