The London Cycling Festival returns, with free rides in 19 boroughs
RideLondon is still paused. This is not that, and it is free.

On Sunday 20 September the London Cycling Festival runs marshalled, family-friendly rides across 19 London boroughs, with stalls, free bike checks, games and live entertainment depending on which one you go to.
It is organised by the London Cycling Campaign with the boroughs, and everything is free but ticketed. That is the bit to act on: the rides are booked individually, per borough, so the useful first step is finding your nearest one rather than turning up somewhere central.
Most of it is the 20th alone. Brent is the exception and runs 18 to 22 September.
Worth saying plainly, because the two get confused: this is not RideLondon, which remains on indefinite pause. This is smaller, local, free and aimed at families rather than at closed-road racing.
Both dates are in our sport listings, and tickets are on the London Cycling Campaign site.
