Where to eat late in London, when the kitchens have shut
Most London kitchens stop at ten. A few streets do not, and knowing them is the difference between dinner and a bag of crisps.

London closes its kitchens earlier than almost any comparable city. Ten is normal, eleven is late, and after midnight you are choosing between four or five parts of town.
Chinatown
The most reliable late food in central London, and it has been for decades. Kitchens run well past midnight and the streets are busiest when everywhere around them has emptied. Two minutes from Soho, which is where you will have been.
Brick Lane and the East End
Brick Lane has the curry houses at one end and Beigel Bake at the other, which has been open through the night for decades and is the single most dependable meal in London at four in the morning.
The late food markets
Mercato Metropolitano near Elephant and Castle runs its kitchens later than most, and Peckham Levels does the same on the other side of the river.
Everything we list that runs past eleven is on the late list, and the hours the city actually keeps are in what stays open after dark.
