Hampton Court Palace ice rink

In front of the west front of the palace, floodlit, with its own ticket separate from palace admission. 2026 dates not yet announced.

Book or find out more

Times and prices are what the venue published when we checked. They move, so confirm on the venue's own page before you travel.

Directions

What to expect

The rink in front of the Tudor gatehouse, floodlit, with the palace as the backdrop. Open from late November until early January.

Worth knowing

A separate ticket from palace admission. Sessions run to a strict timetable and are shorter than an hour, so arrive fifteen minutes early to get boots on rather than losing the time. There is a heated marquee beside it.

Getting there

Half an hour from Waterloo to Hampton Court, then two minutes over the bridge. The gardens are free and worth a walk before dark. The Richmond page has the rest of what is on nearby. Everything we list at this address is on the Hampton Court Palace page.

The 2026 dates are not confirmed

Checked on 8 September 2026: Historic Royal Palaces has not published this winter’s rink yet. Its what’s on for the palace lists fifty-two things and the rink is not one of them, and the rink’s own page returns a not found. The dates here are what we expect from its recent runs and we will replace them with theirs the day they go up. The palace’s what’s on is the page to trust over ours until then.

Listed by Angela. Checked 8 September 2026. Details can change on the night; the venue link is the one to trust.
