What to expect

English Heritage turns the lawns of the Palladian villa at Twickenham over to the festival of light for an afternoon: illuminations, dancers, dhol drummers and giant puppets, with hands-on workshops running alongside.

Worth knowing

Entry is free, but the lantern making workshop runs at set times and you pick your slot when you book online. Members claim their free tickets through the member log in. Parking at the house is limited, so English Heritage suggests public transport.
