Westminster Cathedral London: what's on
The mother church of Catholic England, in striped red brick and Byzantine domes rather than gothic, and deliberately unlike the Abbey up the road. The mosaics stop partway up because the money ran out, which makes the upper walls bare brick and oddly moving. The bell tower lift gives a central view most people never think to take.
