RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2027: dates, tickets and how to actually see it
18 to 22 May 2027 at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. Which days are members only, what Chelsea Late is, and the free flower show happening down the road.
The Royal Horticultural Society has confirmed 18 to 22 May 2027 at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, which is the same five day shape it has run for years. The part that catches people out is that the first two days are not open to the public.
Which days you can actually go
Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 May are RHS members’ days. If you are not a member you cannot buy a ticket for those, and joining the RHS shortly before the show purely to get in is a well worn route that the society is entirely relaxed about. Thursday 20 to Saturday 22 May are the public days. The show closes at 17:30 on the Saturday rather than running into the evening.
Chelsea Late, and the sell off
Friday 21 May from 17:30 to 22:00 is Chelsea Late, which is the show after the coach parties have gone: the same gardens, lit, with a drink in your hand and room to stand still in front of something. It is the ticket to want if you care more about the gardens than about photographing them in daylight.
The Great Plant Sell Off runs from 16:00 to 17:30 on the closing Saturday, when exhibitors would rather sell a plant than transport it home. Bring cash and something to carry a shrub in.
Tickets
Tickets were not on sale when we last checked this page, and the RHS site said only that they were coming. We are not going to print a price we have not seen. When they open, the members’ days and the Saturday go first, and Chelsea Late sells faster than the daytime Friday.
Getting there
The entrance is London Gate on Royal Hospital Road, SW3 4SR. Sloane Square is the nearest tube and it is about a ten minute walk, which several thousand people are also doing, so allow more time than the map says. There is no useful parking.
The free one
Chelsea in Bloom takes over the streets outside for the same week and costs nothing. If the ticket price or the crowds put you off, that is the version to do. We have written it up separately.

When is the Chelsea Flower Show 2027?
18 to 22 May 2027, at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. Tuesday and Wednesday are RHS members' days and Thursday to Saturday are open to everyone.
Can anyone go to the Chelsea Flower Show?
On the public days, yes. The first two days are for RHS members only, so people who want a quieter show often join the society first. The show closes at half past five on the final Saturday.
What is Chelsea Late?
An evening session on Friday 21 May, half past five until ten, with the gardens lit and far fewer people in front of them. It is a separate ticket and it sells before the daytime ones.
Is there a free alternative?
Chelsea in Bloom, which fills the streets around Sloane Square and the King's Road with floral installations for the same week and is free to walk round.
How much are tickets?
Not published yet. The RHS had not opened sales when we last checked, so anyone quoting you a 2027 price is guessing.
