Camden Inspire 2026: Gathering for Our Future

Camden Inspire is back for a fifth year in the old auction house and infants’ school on Buck Street, a minute off the high street, and this edition is called Gathering for Our Future. It is free, it is a drop in, and it is the rare community festival where you are handed something to do rather than shown a stall.

The build

The headline project is a collaborative build of a moveable shade structure, a multi sail canopy going up live in the yard across the weekend, with the idea that you leave knowing how to make shade on your own street or in your own park. Around it sits a craft programme run by local artists and organisations, two panels on climate at community and global scale, and an exhibition from Central Saint Martins’ Material Futures course.

Eating and the evening

There is a community feast on Saturday from 12.30 to 2.30 and a community lunch on Sunday from noon to 1.30. Saturday finishes with a drinks reception for the exhibition, six until eight. Camden Town station is two minutes away and is exit only on Sunday afternoons, so Mornington Crescent is the calmer way out.
