Christmas at Kew: adults only evening

The Christmas at Kew light trail, run as an adults only evening. New for 2026, and there are only two of them all season: this one and the other in the same week.

Worth knowing

Same mile of trail, same Palm House at the end of it, and the same timed entry, but without the pushchairs, which on a trail this narrow is the whole difference. It is ticketed separately from general Kew admission. Ninety minutes outdoors on gravel in December, so dress for standing still rather than for walking.

Last entry is set by the gate you booked, not by the event: seven o’clock at Brentford Gate, twenty past seven at Elizabeth Gate and eight at Victoria Gate. On Christmas Eve the whole thing closes at nine and last entry moves about an hour earlier. The gardens shut at ten.
