Worth knowing

The procession sets off from Mansion House at eleven and fills most of the City. Free from anywhere on the route, nothing to book. It passes twice: out by way of St Paul’s, Cheapside and Fleet Street, and back along the Embankment about ninety minutes later to a fraction of the crowd. The whole City is closed to traffic for most of the day and reopens by about four.
