What to expect

Emergence is the follow-up to Horizons, which Brian Cox took to nearly half a million people. It starts from Kepler on the Charles Bridge in 1610, wondering why every snowflake has six corners, and works outwards to the cosmic web and inwards to the human brain: how something so intricate comes out of rules that simple. It is a lecture with an arena’s screens behind it, and that is the point of going.

Worth knowing

One night only, Friday 23 October, doors 18.00. No price is printed on the venue’s page. Checked against The O2’s own event page on 18 October 2026.

Nearby

Greenwich has the nearest stations and everything else on in the same part of town. The The O2 page collects every listing we hold for that address. Filed under Talks.
