What to expect
More than sixty artists based in east London take over the hall at Big Penny Social for a single afternoon, and the thing that separates this from a gallery is that you are buying from the person who made it, standing next to it. They keep one hundred per cent of what they sell.
What is on
Established names and people showing in public for the first time, side by side, with demos, workshops you can join and live music through the afternoon. It is an afternoon for asking how something was made rather than reading about it.
Worth knowing
Entry is from £3. Blackhorse Road on the Victoria line and Overground is the station, and Big Penny is part of the Blackhorse Beer Mile, so there is somewhere to go afterwards without moving far.
