Father’s Day in London 2027: where to book and what is actually good

Sunday 20 June 2027. Always the third Sunday in June in the UK, which makes it a rule rather than an announcement, so you can book it a year out if you want to.
Booking
It is a smaller restaurant day than Mother’s Day, which works in your favour: the good places are bookable weeks rather than months ahead, and many do not put on a set menu at all, which is usually the better meal. Anywhere with a terrace or a garden goes first, because it is late June.
Not a restaurant
A river trip, a long walk with a good pub at the end, the Sunday roast that takes four hours, or one of the big park events that happen to be on that weekend. Late June has long evenings, which is the argument for doing something outdoors and eating late rather than the other way round.
If you have left it late
Walk-in is more realistic than on Mother’s Day. Pubs with kitchens, the better bar snacks places, and anywhere that does not take bookings at all are all worth trying on the day.
