What to expect

Perola is the cocktail bar high up in art’otel London Battersea Power Station, with views over the Power Station and across the city. It is not a new opening: it opened on 1 October 2025, in the space that had been the hotel’s JOIA bar.

The name is Portuguese for pearl, and the drinks look to the Iberian Peninsula. The signature list is built around 12 artefacts from around the world: one cocktail, after the Antikythera mechanism, mixes olive oil washed gin with oregano mastiha, caper, lemon and cucumber, and The Sun Stone puts tequila and mezcal with vetiver liqueur, mango and black pepper cordial. There is a wine list and non-alcoholic cocktails too, and the bar snacks come from the kitchen of JOIA, the hotel’s restaurant from the two-Michelin-starred chef Henrique Sá Pessoa.

The bar’s page lists live music, DJs and events from Friday to Sunday, with Latin jazz and funk nights through the week. Ronnie Scott’s also sends a band for free sessions from 19:00 to 22:00, with a Woodford Reserve drink included: the next are on 15 October 2026, a Buena Vista Social Club live revue, and on 19 November 2026, with Sarabanda playing Cuban songs old and new.

Perola opens on Wednesday from 17:30 to midnight, on Thursday and Friday from 17:30 to 01:00, and on Saturday from 12:00 to 01:00. On Saturdays and Sundays it also serves a Battersea-themed afternoon tea from 12:00 to 16:00 with live entertainment, at £45 a head, or £55 with a tea-infused cocktail. For birthdays and private occasions the bar asks you to get in touch.

The details here come from Perola’s own page on the JOIA Battersea website, checked on 16 September 2026, and from The Nudge and The Caterer, which reported its opening in September 2025.
