Leighton House London: what's on

The painter Frederic Leighton's studio-house in Holland Park, built around an Arab Hall lined with sixteenth century Damascus tiles and a gold mosaic frieze, which arrives with no warning at the end of an ordinary hallway. Small, and the most surprising interior in west London.

    Leighton House, the Arab Hall

    10:00 Kensington

A Victorian painter built himself a house with a domed hall of Damascus tiles in it, and it is still there. Small, so an hour does it, and rarely busy.
