Royal Albert Hall London: what's on
The great oval on the edge of Hyde Park, opened in 1871 and seating over five thousand under the mushroom-shaped acoustic diffusers that were bolted to the ceiling a century later to cure its famous echo. The Proms fill it every summer. The cheapest way in is standing in the gallery at the very top, which is also the best sound in the house.
