Sir John Soane's Museum London: what's on
The architect's own house on Lincoln's Inn Fields, kept exactly as he left it in 1837 and free to walk into. Three storeys crammed with casts, paintings and an Egyptian sarcophagus in the basement, arranged with no space between anything. The candlelit evenings are ticketed, sell out early, and are the way to see it.
