Victoria Park London: what's on
The oldest public park in Britain, opened in 1845 after a petition from the East End, and still the best park in London for actually using rather than looking at. Two lakes, a lido pavilion, a proper cafe by the water. The big summer festivals take the western end for a few weekends and the rest stays open.
