What to expect

Bubala, the vegetarian Middle Eastern restaurant from Marc Summers, is opening its fourth site, after Spitalfields, Soho and King’s Cross, at 14 Garrick Street, Covent Garden, WC2E 9BJ. It will be the largest: about 60 covers on the ground floor, 32 downstairs and 30 outside on Floral Street.

Bubala’s own website lists it as coming soon, without a date. Hot Dinners gives 19 October 2026, while earlier reports said September, so treat October as the plan.

Expect the dishes it is known for, such as halloumi with chamomile and fennel honey, confit potato latkes with toum, and wild garlic börek. Prices, hours and bookings have not been published for this site.

The details here come from Bubala’s own website, checked on 16 September 2026, and from Hot Dinners, which reported the site on 27 May 2026, and The Upcoming.
