Clays London: virtual clay shooting in Soho, the City and Canary Wharf

Clays has three London venues doing virtual clay target shooting with clarified cocktails. Addresses, opening times and which of the three suits what you are planning.

Cocktails on a bar counter

Clays took clay pigeon shooting, removed the field, the weather and the six in the morning, and put what was left in a bar. It is the competitive socialising formula, and it is one of the better executions of it because the game is genuinely difficult and takes about a minute to understand.

The three London venues

There are three in London and one in Birmingham, and the London three are not interchangeable. All share the number 020 3011 4840. Checked on 9 September 2026:

Soho: 77 Brewer Street, W1F 9ZN. Monday 4pm to 10pm, Tuesday to Saturday midday to midnight, Sunday midday to 8pm. This is the late and loud one, with DJs and room for up to 500 for a full takeover.

The City: 55 Moorgate, EC2R 6LL. Monday 4pm to 10pm, Tuesday to Friday midday to midnight, Saturday 11.30am to midnight, Sunday midday to 8pm. Three minutes from Moorgate station and squarely an after-work room.

Canary Wharf: Unit B1, One Cabot Square, E14 4QJ. Closed on Mondays other than bank holidays, Tuesday to Friday midday to midnight, Saturday 11.30am to midnight, Sunday midday to 8pm. Two minutes from Canary Wharf station, and the one with a heated outdoor terrace by the water.

Which one to book

Soho for a night that carries on afterwards, because it is the only one open to midnight on a Saturday and the surrounding streets do the rest. The City for after work, particularly if the group is coming out of offices around Moorgate and Bank. Canary Wharf if you want the terrace or you are already on that side of town, remembering it is shut on Mondays when the other two are open until ten.

Sunday closes at 8pm everywhere, which rules out a late Sunday and rules in a long afternoon.

The rooms inside the rooms

Beyond the standard pegs, which are the semi-private booths most people book, there are two things worth knowing about.

The Hide is the private version: a hidden room with its own self-service bar, a four player peg and clarified cocktails on tap, taking up to 35 guests in Soho and 30 in the City. Clays Arcade is the quick version, five fast multiplayer games for people who do not want to commit to a full booking. There are six shooting games in total across the venues, pitched from first-timers upward.

The food and drink, which is not an afterthought

The menu is built by culinary director Roger Olsson around British produce, and the bar runs a clarification technique: cocktails filtered until they are clear, which changes the texture as much as the look. It is the detail that separates this from the venues where the food exists so that nobody leaves to eat.

Booking ahead is the norm and effectively required for groups. Activity bars in London covers the rest of the category and what each one actually costs, things to do for couples covers the two-person version, and best bars covers the evening either side.
