Guides Open Gardens 2027 Sat 5 to Sun 6 June Updated 25 Sep 2026
Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June 2027, announced by London Gardens Trust. One ticket covers the whole weekend and every garden in the programme.
London Open Gardens 2027: private gardens open for one weekend
A June weekend when more than a hundred gardens that are normally locked open to ticket holders. Formerly Open Garden Squares Weekend.

Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June 2027, and one ticket covers all of it. More than a hundred gardens that are locked for the other three hundred and sixty three days open up: the railed squares in Bloomsbury and Belgravia that only keyholders use, roof gardens, hospital and livery company gardens, and private plots behind houses.
It was called Open Garden Squares Weekend for years and is now London Open Gardens, which is worth knowing if you are searching for it under the old name.
How the ticket works
You buy one ticket for the weekend rather than paying at each garden, and it raises money for the charity that runs it. Buying ahead is cheaper than on the day and some gardens need a slot booked separately, particularly the small ones and anything with a lift.
Doing it well
Pick a cluster and walk it. Bloomsbury, Belgravia and the Inns of Court each hold enough within walking distance to fill an afternoon, and the travelling is what ruins it if you try to cross London chasing a list. The gardens that are genuinely never otherwise open are the ones to prioritise over the ones you could see any weekday.
Dates and events for 2027 go in as venues confirm them. The guide above is what we know so far; it is rewritten as the list fills.

Questions people ask
When is London Open Gardens 2027?
Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June 2027. The organiser announced the dates on its own What's On page.
Is it the same as Open Garden Squares Weekend?
Yes. It was renamed London Open Gardens, and the old name is still what most people search for.
How much does it cost?
One ticket covers the whole weekend and every participating garden. It is cheaper bought ahead than on the day, and it funds the charity that organises it.
Do I need to book individual gardens?
Most are walk-in with your weekend ticket, but some small ones and anything with restricted access need a slot booked separately.
How many gardens can I see in a day?
Six to eight if you pick one area and walk it. Fewer if you try to cross London between them.
Every listing on this page is checked against the venue's own page and the page is rewritten each year, usually six to eight weeks before the dates. Times and prices can change on the night; the venue link on each event is the one to trust. How we choose what goes in.
