What to expect
The Horses opens on Monday 28 September 2026 at 26-28 Ray Street in Clerkenwell, the date on its own website. The building was the Coach and Horses for 228 years and more recently The Coach; the new name takes it most of the way back.
It comes from Public House Group, which also runs The Pelican, The Hart and The Fat Badger. The cooking leans on fish: oysters at £4 each, smoked fish, Dover sole, sea bass, skate, John Dory and hake, a scallop and bacon roll and a spider crab roll, with a pork chop and a pork pie for anyone who wants meat.
On the published menu starters run from £14 to £20, fish mains from £23 to £47 and meat mains from £25 to £29, with cocktails at £10 to £15. Bookings go through SevenRooms from the pub’s website.
The details here come from The Horses’ own website, checked on 16 September 2026, and from Hot Dinners and Restaurant Online, which reported the opening on 10 and 12 August 2026.
