Trafalgar Square London: what's on
The square is used for things as much as looked at: Diwali, Chinese New Year, St Patrick's Day, the Christmas tree Norway sends every year. The National Gallery is on the north side and St Martin-in-the-Fields on the corner, so it is a reasonable place to start an afternoon as well as a place to cross.
