Arcade Battersea: the kitchens, and the 30-minute cut-off

Arcade inside Battersea Power Station is 24,000 square feet of chef-led kitchens and bars. The traders, the weekday deals, and the rule that catches late arrivals.

Counters in a food hall

Arcade at Battersea Power Station is a food hall on a scale that makes most food halls look like a canteen: 24,000 square feet holding chef-led kitchens, three restaurants, two bars and a private dining room, inside the turbine hall of the power station itself.

Where it is

Checked on the operator’s own site on 9 September 2026. North Entrance, Level 1, The Power Station. Battersea Power Station has its own Northern line station, which is the easiest way in, and the building is large enough that the entrance matters: aim for the north end rather than wandering.

The kitchens

The line-up is deliberately global rather than themed. Manna does halal-friendly smash burgers, Gracey’s Pizza does East Coast style slices, Hero does regional Indian, and Shatta & Toum does Middle Eastern. Open kitchens, generous seating, and the usual food hall arrangement where a table can eat four different cuisines at once.

The two deals worth knowing

The Express Lunch Edit runs Monday to Friday, 12 to 2, at £12 a plate, and the kitchens undertake to have it with you in ten minutes or less. That is aimed squarely at the offices around the power station and it is the cheapest way to eat here.

Aperitivo Hour runs Sunday to Friday, 3 to 8, with cocktails at £8 and prosecco at £6. Five hours is an unusually long happy hour and it covers the whole after-work window rather than the usual sixty minutes nobody can make.

The rule that catches people

The kitchens close thirty minutes before the venue does. Arcade states it plainly and people still arrive at ten past for a place that shuts at half past, expecting to eat. There is a fifteen minute grace period on final orders, which is not the same as half an hour.

Closing times move with the day and with bank holidays, so the hours on the venue’s own page are the ones to check rather than a map listing.

Nearby

Sea Lanes is the other side of the river and a different kind of afternoon, rooftop bars covers the view, and Market Halls Oxford Street is the same format in the West End at a fraction of the size.
